At H De Lara Beauty Studio, we take confidentiality seriously — both inside the treatment room and online. This page exists so you know exactly what we hold on you, why we hold it, and what choices you have over it. By continuing to use the site or booking with us, you're agreeing to the practices set out below.
When you book a treatment or send a message, we typically gather your name, contact number, email, and any preferences you've noted for the visit. Pre-treatment intake forms may also include health, skin, or allergy details relevant to your care.
In the background, the website records some technical signals on its own — your IP address, browser, the pages you visit, time spent, and basic analytics. None of it identifies you personally on its own.
Most of it serves a single purpose: making sure your visit goes well. That means scheduling and confirming appointments, sending reminders, following up afterwards, and keeping a record so your next session can build on the last. The website data simply helps us see what people find useful and where we can do better.
What we don't do: sell your information, rent it, swap it, or hand it over for marketing. Not now, not ever.
Anything you share about your skin, medical history, or allergies stays between you and your artist. We use it solely to determine whether a treatment is suitable and to keep your session safe. It isn't displayed, forwarded, or used for anything beyond that.
A small number of trusted partners help us operate — the booking platform that handles your appointment, the email service that sends your confirmation, the hosting provider keeping this site online. Each of them is bound to look after your information just as we are.
Beyond that, the only time we'd disclose details is if the law required it, or if doing so were necessary to protect a client or member of our team.
Cookies are small markers your browser stores so a site can remember you between visits. We use them lightly — to remember preferences and to see which pages get the most attention. If you'd rather skip them entirely, your browser settings can switch them off. The site will still work; it'll just feel a touch less personal.
We use sensible technical and organisational measures to safeguard what you share with us — encrypted connections, restricted internal access, and routine review of how information is handled. We can't promise zero risk (no honest business can), but we treat your information with the same discretion we'd want for our own.
You're entitled to:
Drop us a line through the contact details below and we'll take it from there.
Now and then we'll point you toward a social platform, a booking tool, or another outside resource. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we don't have visibility into how they handle your information — so it's worth a separate read if anything gives you pause.
We'll revisit this policy from time to time as the studio grows or as regulations shift. When something material changes, the new version (and its effective date) will be posted right here. The date at the top of this page is always the one that applies.

Everything you'll want to know before booking your ombré powder brows or machine hairstrokes appointment. Still curious? Reach out and we'll walk you through it personally.
Ombré powder brows are a semi-permanent technique where pigment is deposited into the skin using a digital machine in tiny, dotted layers — almost like airbrushed makeup, but living in your skin instead of sitting on top of it.
The finish is soft and powdered: lighter and misty at the front of the brow, gradually deeper and crisper toward the tail. The look mimics brows that have been gently filled in with a brow pencil or powder.
Because no blades are used, ombré is gentler on the skin and suits a much wider range of skin types — including oily, combination, and mature skin where bladed hair-stroke techniques tend to blur or fade unevenly.
Machine hairstrokes are crisp, hair-like lines drawn one at a time using a digital permanent makeup device fitted with a single ultra-fine (nano) needle. Each stroke follows the direction and length of your natural brow hairs, giving the most realistic, hyper-natural finish currently available in semi-permanent makeup.
Because the needle moves with the machine's controlled vibration rather than being dragged manually (as with microblading), strokes heal sharper, retain longer, and cause less trauma to the skin.
Best for normal to slightly-dry skin with some existing brow hair to follow.
Choose machine hairstrokes if you want the most natural, hair-by-hair look, you have normal to dry skin, and you already have some natural brow hair as a base.
Choose ombré powder if you want a fuller, softly-shaded "makeup look," your skin is oily or combination, you have very sparse or no brow hair, or you want results that last the longest.
Choose a combo brow (hairstrokes at the front, powder shading through the body and tail) if you want realism + density in one. Most clients with normal skin love this option.
We'll always confirm the right approach for you during your consultation before any pigment touches your skin.
Ombré powder brows: typically 2 to 3 years before a refresh is recommended.
Machine hairstrokes: typically 1 to 2 years, as the fine lines are more delicate.
Longevity depends on your skin type (oily skin fades faster), sun exposure, and your skincare routine (retinols, acids, and exfoliants will speed up fading). An annual color refresh keeps brows looking their freshest.
1 week before: Stop applying retinol, AHA, BHA, vitamin C, or any exfoliating actives on or near the brow area. Avoid waxing, threading, tinting, or tweezing your brows — we need to see your natural hair pattern to design the best shape.
1 week before: Avoid sunbathing, tanning beds, and chemical peels on the face.
3–5 days before: Skip any new facial treatments, microdermabrasion, lasers, or Botox/fillers in the brow area.
48 hours before: Avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E supplements — only if medically safe for you to pause them. (Never stop prescribed medication without your doctor's approval.)
24 hours before: No alcohol. Alcohol thins the blood, increases bleeding during the procedure, and can flush pigment out before it has a chance to settle.
Day of: Skip caffeine — it raises sensitivity and can cause twitching during fine work.
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin, eat a proper meal beforehand (low blood sugar makes the session harder), and bring a reference photo if there's a brow look you love.
Days 1–3: Brows look bold, dark, and a little intense. This is completely normal — the color softens by up to 40%.
Days 4–7: Light scabbing, flaking, and itching begin. Do not pick, scratch, or rub. Let the skin shed on its own.
Days 7–14: Brows may look surprisingly faint, almost as if the color disappeared. This is the "ghosting" phase — the pigment is still there, just hidden under healing skin.
Weeks 4–6: The true color emerges as the skin fully heals — perfect timing for your included touch-up session.
First 10–14 days — keep the brows DRY: no sweating, no workouts, no swimming, no saunas, no steam rooms, no hot showers, no direct shower water on the brows. Pat gently with a clean tissue if water touches the area.
No makeup, sunscreen, or skincare on or near the brows during the healing window.
Apply only the aftercare balm we provide, sparingly, exactly as directed — usually a thin layer 2–3 times a day with a clean cotton swab.
Sleep on your back if you can to avoid pressing brows into the pillow. Avoid direct sun, tanning, and pools for at least 2 weeks. Full written aftercare instructions are sent to you before your appointment.
Do not pick, scratch, peel, or rub the scabbing — this is the #1 cause of patchy, uneven results.
Do not apply makeup, sunscreen, retinol, AHAs, vitamin C, or any active skincare on or near the brows for at least 14 days.
Do not sweat heavily, swim, soak in a tub, or go in saunas/steam rooms. Sweat and chlorine flush pigment out.
Do not get facials, peels, or laser treatments on the face for at least 4 weeks.
The first 2 weeks decide 80% of your final result. Treat the brows like a healing wound — because that's exactly what they are.
Sometimes, yes — but it depends on how dark, how saturated, and what color the existing pigment has faded to. Faded, light, properly-shaped previous work can often be enhanced. Heavy, dark, or poorly-shaped work usually needs to be removed or significantly lightened first before new pigment can be applied beautifully.
Please send us a clear, well-lit photo of your current brows (no makeup, no filter, natural light) before booking. We'll honestly assess whether to schedule a procedure or recommend removal first.
